Jai Gajanan, Salutation to Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj. On23rd Feb 1878 Sant landed in Shegaon who has the unlimited powers, none else "Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj".The birth of Shri Gajanan Maharaj is still a mystery.

The first time is seen by Bankatlal and Damodar in the shadow of the banyan tree eating remaining food from the leaf platters and left the place. Sant Shri Gajanan Maharaj gave knowledge to peoples about spirituality. Maharajji always sang Gan Gan Ganat Bote while waking or everywhere.

Some people say Gajanan Maharaj is a sea of knowledge(Gyan ka Sagar). Maharajji always gave knowledge to peoples but also animals like Horse, Cow, etc. Maharaj has limitless powers and using for poor peoples, suffering for any kind of disease.

Gajanan Maharaj Miracles

One incidence happens in Temple, Construction in the Temple was going on, for construction temporary structure made of wooden planks and metal poles. While the working laborer fell from the height of 30 feet there was much big stone on the ground other worker saw him falling they thought he will die but he was all unhurt. when other workers asked him how it happened, he said, "while I came down, someone caught me and set me on the ground. I looked for him but no one was there". the workers congratulated the man and said we blessed you Gajanan Maharaj caught you and set on the ground your life is saved by Gajanan Maharaj this was the first incident.

Once a Rajput woman came all the way from Jaipur. She Possessed by a Ghost, Dattatreya advised her in a dream to visit Shegaon to get remove of the ghost. She came to Shegaon with her two sons. In Shegaon there were large crowds on the Ram Navami day. Every year Ram Navami celebrates at Gajanan Maharaj Temple, so large crowds come to form different Villages. That time the Temple was under construction because of Ram Navami festival work stopped. After the birth of Shri Ramji there to much rush increase for Prashad, a Rajput woman took shelter at one of the pillars suddenly everything goes the wrong pillar fall down on her and woman got under it, people try to remove pillar 10 to 20 peoples remove pillar and people took them to a lady doctor- Lobo in Saibai Mote hospital. The doctor was a devout Christian also she was a good surgeon. She examined the woman and declared that not a bone of the woman was fractured all were surprised. when they come to the conclusion that the fall of the pillar was caused by Gajanan Maharaj just to remove the ghost. The woman then went back to Jaipur completely recovered.

Every Thursday people come to take darshan of Gajanan Maharaj from Akola, Nagpure, Malkapur, Nandura, Khamgaon, and many cities and villages like Nagzari, etc. Many people come by walk from Akola Khamgaon.

In Nagzari we have Shri Gomaji Maharaj Temple which was also in a cave and that cave was made by himself Shri Gomaji Maharaj. Gomaji Maharaj is also known as Gajanan Maharaj guru, so some people visit Gomaji Maharaj Temple for darshan before Gajanan Maharaj darshan and some people visit Gomaji Maharaj Temple after Gajanan Maharaj darshan.

Gajanan Maharaj Darshan is the sweetest thing that moment is very silent for you and him whatever your wish can tell peacefully after darshan you only realize your happy, smile on your face, it feels like darshan made my day what your dream to see Gajanan Maharaj is complete. Yes, it happens with each and everyone that feeling really awesome.

From our childhood, your parents said we should have one Guru in your life so that we can follow we can take darshan. A lot of people make Gajanan Maharaj Guru, so to meet him they came to Gajanan Maharaj Temple.
Whenever devotees come to meet Gajanan Maharaj that could be any day but mostly local peoples visit only on Thursday.
Local peoples visit daily for Gajanan Maharaj Morning Aarti and Gajanan Maharaj Evening Aarti. Mostly Saturday Sunday In Temple have Rush because school colleges and offices have a holiday, so people come from long distances for two days' enjoyment. In festivals Gajanan Maharaj still alive in Samadhi, Gajanan Maharaj gave direction to Shegaon devotees in 1908 after two years I will take Samadhi built one Temple.
Temple was built in front of Maharaj in which cave also made for Samadhi and from the top, it looks like Temple. Then Samadhi day came peoples are crying they were saying to Maharaj, please don't go, please don't leave us, peoples are coming from long distances to saw him last time. then hiking start in Shegaon after that they took Samadhi on 8th Sept. 1910 Gajanan Maharaj went for deep meditation saying Gan Gan Ganat Bot.

The origins of Shri Gajanan Maharaj are still a mystery. where did Maharaji come from still it is a mystery? the first time saw near to the banyan tree that place is known as "Gajanan Maharaj Pragat Sthan".

Now because of Gajanan Maharaj, Shegaon is a pilgrimage center. Hindus consider Shri Gajanan Maharaj a saint with miraculous powers.
 
Whenever people come to Shegaon for any kind of work they want to go and take darshan of Gajanan Maharaj.
